Before Exam Day
Please arrive in plenty of time
Arrive 30 minutes before the Centre's stated examination start time. This allows time to register, verify your identity, complete checks, confirm seating and hear instructions.
9:00am for morning sessions and 1:30pm for afternoon sessions, unless your timetable or Centre communication says otherwise.
Remember your ID
Bring the original photographic identification required by the Centre. If you registered using the No Photo ID process, follow the identification instructions provided by the Centre.
Tell our Exams Team before the examination if your booking name and identification do not match.
Your exam-day essentials
Use a transparent pencil case where possible and bring only permitted equipment.
Unauthorised items
Possession of unauthorised items can result in sanctions.
Once you enter the room
Do not communicate, share equipment, access unauthorised material or disrupt others.

All candidates must understand the examination regulations that apply to written exams, on-screen tests, coursework, non-examination assessments, social media and Artificial Intelligence.
Cheating, unauthorised materials or devices, communicating with another candidate, impersonation, disruptive behaviour or failing to follow instructions may be reported to the awarding organisation and can lead to loss of marks or disqualification.
Follow the invigilator's instructions and never take anything into the examination room unless you know it is permitted.
When plans change
Approved arrangements may include extra time, rest breaks, a word processor, reader, scribe, prompter, modified papers or other adjustments.
If an approved arrangement is not in place correctly.
Contact us as soon as possible. Report to Centre staff on arrival and do not enter the examination room without permission.
Depending on how late you arrive, there may be restrictions on whether your script can be accepted.

Special consideration is decided by the awarding organisation and is not automatically granted.

Do not leave the room without permission.
Stop writing when instructed, follow the invigilator, remain silent and do not use your phone or discuss the examination.
You remain under examination conditions until told otherwise.
If two examinations appear at the same time, contact our Exams Team immediately. Do not make your own arrangements or choose which exam to attend.

Results are released on nationally published results dates. We will contact candidates before results day to explain how and when results will be available.

Dates remain subject to the latest JCQ and awarding organisation information.
